Located 55 miles south of Carmel and 30 miles north of Hearst Castle in the rugged south coast area of Big Sur(Lucia-Gorda), the cabin commands whitewater views 650 feet above Highway One. Enjoy panoramic ocean views, catch a glimpse of whales, dolphins, wildlife or hanggliders from one of 2 decks. Take a dip in the hottub while enjoying a spectacular sunset. Listen to CD's, put on a DVD or watch your favorite tv program on the new 40" and 27" flat screen High Definition sets. For an active vacation, picnic, tidepool, or surf at Sand Dollar Beach or hunt for jade both within a 5 minute drive. In less than an hour's drive in either direction, visit Hearst Castle, Elephant Seal Beach, Esalen Institute, Nepenthe, The Hermitage, Limekiln and Julia Pfeiffer State Parks to name a few highlights. Tour Hearst Castle then shop for that special art piece in charming Cambria. In a little over an hours drive, see historic Mission San Antonio or tour Paso Robles wine country.Too active? Relax, curl up with a favorite novel and just enjoy being here.Forget that novel? Meet a new author from the small in-house library. The cabin is fully furnished including all linens, beach and bath towels, spices, papergoods,cookware(Emerilware,etc.), serving ware,dishes, utensils and condiments. You supply your favorite foods and beverages.Chefs may try out their skills on the newly completed outdoor kitchen with top of the line stainless steel propane grill, bar, sink and sideburner. At the end of the day, lose your thoughts in the glow of the newly completed firepit. Please, no smoking inside cabin. $250 refundable security deposit. In house massages by licensed massage therapist can be arranged. Sorry, Not suitable for toddlers or small children.No pets or smoking inside cabin.
