| The home was built in 1937 and has been kept in excellent condition. It is mostly knotty pine with oak floors, a large stone fireplace, small paned windows, on a landscaped 1/4 acre with trees and a large grassy area. It is completely enclosed and private, with lots of bougainvillea. There are towering mesquite & eucalyptus trees, a stone archway, brick walks with low stone walls, two brick patios (one covered),a fountain, a covered porch, and all with comfortable chairs and small or large tables. There is a large patio for sunbathing, with coolcote tiles, a 5 person hot tub and loungers. There is a gas BBQ. There are also 3 bikes to use and games for outdoors and indoors.<>
This Non-Smoking home is charming with lots of antique wooden accents. Inside, there is a spacious living and dining room, with an open kitchen. You will find very comfortable furniture in the living room, a big screen dish TV, DVD/CD/VCR player. In the dining room, there is an oak table which seats up to eight, and an oak China hutch.
The kitchen has a range top in a large, tiled, peninsular bar open to the dining room, with bar stools. The kitchen is "loaded" and you can cook and serve a fine meal, or do something simple. All china, silverware, glassware, linens, serving dishes, pots, and pans are included. There is a laundry room off the kitchen, with a washer and dryer, and space to fold and sort clothes.
There are three bedrooms plus an alcove in the living room where there is a sofabed with a "pop-up" trundle bed. The master bedroom has a large bay window looking out to bougainvillea, a beautiful queen-size bed, dresser, dish TV w/DVD, night stand, and a bath with tub and shower. The second bedroom is separated from the first bedroom by a bath, with a shower. This bedroom has four windows and a very inviting sleigh bed with matching furniture. The third bedroom has bunkbeds and a desk, with a phone. There is wireless High Speed internet.
We hope that you will come and stay and enjoy yourselves. The house is located close to the heart of Cathedral City and in the "Cove," out of the wind. It is several blocks off Highway 111, which is the main artery connecting all of the Palm Springs area cities. We have been operating a rental similar to this one in Oregon, on the Deschutes River, for several years and enjoy providing a peaceful and relaxing space for our guests.
