| Leave the cares of the world behind as you wind your way past apple orchards, farms, and forests. The deeper into the valley you go - a sense of peace and tranquillity overcomes you. Finally you reach your destination - nestled among the rolling hills of Henderson County - The Barn on Hungry River.
Our barn has been restored to offer all of the comforts of home - yet retains its rustic charm. This comfy hide-a-way is the perfect place to make memories with family and friends. The Big Hungry River (stocked with trout) runs along one side of the property - its gurgle will lull you to sleep in the evening and invite you to enjoy long lazy days.
If you can pull yourself away from leisurely fishing, wading, or just listening to the gentle sounds of the river, you may want to venture out to the endless activities just minutes from your doorstep. Carl Sandburg's home, Connemera and the North Carolina State Theater - The Flat Rock Playhouse are less than 15 minutes away. Hendersonville with its history and antiques is just a little further. The Biltmore Estate and Asheville are just over a half-hour.
When you return from your adventures, The Barn will be waiting with its fully-equipped kitchen - just made for cooking and conversation, generously furnished living room, and expansive deck with its view of the river. The upstairs has one bathroom and two bedrooms. One with a single bed and the other with bunk beds. The downstairs has a recreational area with games, bathroom, master bedroom with king bed, and a bedroom with a queen bed.
Smoking is not allowed inside the house. Pets are negotiable.
