| Located on a quiet cul-du-sac just a few minutes from downtown St Petersburg, and an even shorter drive to the Dali Museum, Tropicana (Tampa Bay Rays) Stadium, Bayfront and All Childrens Hospitals, and other area landmarks, Tropical Shores is a quaint deep water boating community that many feel has still yet to be discovered.
Our home is on 90 feet of boatable deep water with both a large slip that can accommodate up to a 50 ft yacht and a new boat lift for 23 ft and smaller fishing boats. Our 48 foot dock has a large 12 x 20 head with benches and rails for viewing sunsets (all year around) and dolphins and manatee who often visit our area. Our large back porch (15 ft X 35 ft) includes a pottery barn lounge set and teak dining table for 8, as well as a fire pit w/lounge chairs and a large hammock.....all under cover in case a summer rain passes through.
We are minimalists at heart and redesigned our house with a very open and expansive mindset. Walk into our panoramic great room greeting you from the moment you enter the home. A gourmet kitchen and integrated living and dining area makes for a wonderful entertainment space. Expansive water views through floor to ceiling sliders make this an unforgetable experience from dawn to sunset.
With all of the things to do around St Pete, we find that we don't leave often when visiting our home.

We purchased our house for many reasons. Our area, Tropical Shores, is one of the better kept secrets in St Pete. We are minutes from downtown, the Salvador Dali museum, and the restaurant/theatre district, and a twenty minute drive to the beaches and Tampa. We also get full patio/dock sunsets year around. We love deep water (there are many houses in ST Pete where you can dock a boat, but VERY FEW where you can dock boats 30 feet and larger). Our area has deep water and we can accomodate a vessal up to 50ft in length. We always found the neighbors to be warm, the area great for exercising, and always pleasant to come home to.
Our area is typically very quiet and relaxing. There is not a lot of external noise except for the ocassional boat or plane passing by. Most months of the year we
experience an exceptional breeze in our neighborhood. Although Florida has a reputation of being hot and humid in the summer, we find that the breeze is frequent and consistent enough to keep our patio and dock cool......not just when we are relaxing at home, but also when taking lengthy evening walks, long bike rides on the miles of nearby trails and morning/evening jogs throughout our neighborhood with awesome views of Tampa Bay. We enjoy being very close to downtown St Pete, Tropicana Stadium to watch the Tampa Bay Rays, the Beaches, Clearwater, and Tampa.....and when we are in the mood for a longer drive, we visit Tarpon Springs which has a wonderful waterfront Greek community that sells merchandise identical to what we brought home from Athens after our honeymoon cruise years ago (if we knew that before departing we could have saved 20 lbs of luggage!).
