Princeville is situated on the northern coast of Kauai, about 45 miles away from the Lihue Airport. Kauai is well known for its vast tropical forests and large canyons with spectacular waterfalls. Princeville is the primary resort town on the northern side of this jungle paradise. With its top ranking golf courses, tennis facilities, exquisite shopping, and large amount of amenities, Princeville has a little of everything for everyone. You could easily just stay here in town and enjoy a wonderful vacation. However, if you did that you would be missing out on some amazing parts of Kauai. The beaches around Princeville are pristine; you will not find many others on the island that are as beautiful as these. And the ocean on this side of the island is generally calm and inviting. Popular activities on and in the water include kayaking, surfing, boogie boarding and snorkeling. Speaking of snorkeling, there are many cruises that depart for the Na Pali coastline, an untouched part of Kauai, that provide a great way to get out and see the island as well as do some great snorkeling at reefs along the way. The Na Pali coast of Kauai is also home to some of the best and most challenging hiking trails on the island. Once you are done with your adventures out and about you can check out the local spas back in Princeville and rest up for another exciting day. With all this to do and more, Princeville is an ideal vacation spot.
